Route guide
Rimini
A five-stage path from Rimini to Santuario della Verna, crossing Valmarecchia towns and Apennine ridges before meeting the Firenze route.
Rimini is the Adriatic doorway into the Via di Francesco network: five walking stages move from the city and the lower Marecchia valley into Montefeltro hill towns, then climb toward Balze di Verghereto and the forests around La Verna. The route is compact at about 110 km, but it is not casual. The last four days ask for real mountain walking judgement, current route updates, and attention to water and weather. Its reward is a clear Franciscan arc from Rimini's urban start through San Leo, Sant'Agata Feltria, high Apennine country, and the sanctuary that joins the Firenze.
