About the Project
Who builds the Via di Francesco guide and why.
This guide is built by pilgrims, for pilgrims.
Our Mission
To provide a free, fast, accurate, and offline-friendly guide to the Via di Francesco. We believe the trail should be accessible to everyone, regardless of data plan or device speed.
Independent Guide
Walk With St Francis is an independent project. We are not affiliated with the official Via di Francesco organization or the regional tourism boards. We build this guide to serve the community with open data and modern tools.
How We Build Trust
The route, stay, and place pages separate editorial guidance from pilgrim-submitted reports. Official route data, GPX files, and practical logistics are reviewed before they change public guidance. Pilgrim contributions are treated as leads for moderation, not as automatic replacements for canonical data.
Help the Next Pilgrim
If you have walked the Via di Francesco, your experience can improve the guide. Share practical notes, warnings, water or lodging updates, and story context through the contribution page. Submissions are reviewed before they become public guidance.
