From the Villa Verucchio, we are taking dirt road that goes up towards Montebello. Stage 2 is the route's first major test. The source package keeps the winter option as the canonical baseline, trading a longer and higher day for a line that does not depend on the seasonal Marecchia crossing. Verucchio, Saiano, Sant'Igne, and San Leo make this one of the route's most important cultural stages.
