The Pilgrim's Mass in Assisi

The official credential page says the Pilgrim's Mass is held from April to October:

• Weekdays (Monday to Saturday, except holy days): 18:00 in the Lower Church of the Basilica of San Francesco, at the Chapel of Santa Caterina;
• Sundays: 17:00 at the main altar.

It is meant above all for pilgrims who reach Assisi on foot, and walkers are greeted by name, nationality and home town. We read this on 20 October 2026. It doesn't say what happens on a holy day that falls between Monday and Saturday, when the basilica follows its holiday timetable below. The page gives no Pilgrim's Mass times for November to March either, so for both ask at the pilgrims' office (Statio Peregrinorum) when you collect your Testimonium.

The Mass is in Italian. Every pilgrim is welcome, whatever their faith.

April to October (summer time):

• Weekdays except holy days, Lower Church: 07:15, 10:00, 11:00, 18:00.
• Sundays and holy days, Lower Church: 07:30, 09:00, 17:00, 18:30.
• Sundays and holy days, Upper Church: 10:30, 12:00.
• Sundays and holy days, in English: 09:00. The timetable doesn't make clear which church; ask at the basilica.

November to March (winter time):

• Weekdays except holy days, Lower Church: 07:15, 11:00, 17:00.
• Sundays and holy days, Lower Church: 07:30, 09:00, 10:30, 12:00, 17:00, 18:30.
• Sundays and holy days, in English: 10:00 in the Chapel of Frate Leone, inside the Sacro Convento.

Mass at La Verna

• Weekdays: 8:00, 11:00, 16:00.
• Sundays and holy days: 8:00; 10:00 (June to September); 11:00; 12:15; 16:00; 17:00 (May to September).
